Handwoven in the Philippines of undyed abaca fiber, these designs are the result of a collaborative partnership between Merida designers and Filipino craftspeople. Abaca is considered one of the strongest natural fibers, and our boldly textured weave structures bring out the strength, beauty, and skillful handwork. The dramatic range of natural colors and variation in texture make abaca uncommonly beautiful as woven floor covering. Abaca products are undyed, use no backing material, and are finished with a handwoven edge – no binding is required.
